Tipper to Water Tanker
For our sixth tanker supplied to the Falkland Islands Government, our client required a water tanker for dust laying duties during the dry season, but their concern was about the cost & the long delivery period of a new double drive chassis at the time. So, we sourced a good used 2015 Volvo FMX 410 8x4 tipper, the body was stripped off, cab repainted, actual chassis shot blasted & repainted, a full service with a 12 months MOT to boot. Our new water tanker bodywork was then fitted & included a 4,000 gallon mild steel barrel with dished ends & internal baffling, top manhole, sight glass, hose boxes including loose hoses, other storage, mounting a new spare wheel, rear bumper, flashing beacon, separate diesel engine driven water pump, rear spray facility with cab controls. Finally, the tank interior was bitumastic lined with exterior bodywork finish painted blue to match cab, followed by a professional cab valet.
